OUR LEGISLATIVE WRAP-UP LUNCHEON was held on June 

9 with good attendance and great insight from our legislative delegation 
on the 2014 Session. Our thanks to Sen. Stargel, Sen. Grimsley, Sen. Soto, 

Rep. Albritton, Rep. Combee, Rep. LaRosa, Rep. McKeel, and Rep. Wood 
for their leadership. I’d like to say a special thanks to Rep. Seth McKeel 

for the fantastic job he has done for Polk County during his service in the

We were pleased to present two Young Farmer & Rancher Scholarships 
at the recent Polk FFA Banquet. Congratulations to Allyson Polston and 

Justin Blarthe on their achievements. We also presented honorary Farm 
Bureau student membership certiicates to the Polk FFA chapter oicers. 

Our new Student Membership Program is open to high school and college students at a reduced membership 
rate of $30 per year, and is a great opportunity for our future leaders to get engaged in the industry now. For

Committee, will be spearheading an upcoming sporting clay shoot fundraiser. he event will take place 
at Fish Hawk Sporting Clays on Saturday, September 13. Proceeds from the event will be used to support
