Lunch and Learn – Fluttering Beauty: Your Guide to Butterfly Gardening

Join UF/IFAS Extension Polk County/Haines City Water Utilities, at the Haines City Public Library, 111 North 6th St., Haines City from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. for an informative course on butterfly gardening the Florida-Friendly way. Hosted by UF/IFAS Extension Polk County at the Lakeland Public Library – Larry R. Grady Goat Yoga Tampa Bay

Every Saturday from 9:30-11:30 a.m., Grady Goat Farm hosts a fun and relaxing yoga class featuring their famous goats. Tickets are $39 for each attendee. This delightful event benefits Project G.O.A.T. (Global Offensive Against Trafficking), a charity that works to protect children. Grady Goat Farm is located at 12551 Franklin Rd in Thonotosassa. Saturday Night Rodeo

This fun, family-friendly rodeo takes place every Saturday through the end of November from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. at Westgate River Ranch Resort & Rodeo, located at 3200 River Ranch Blvd in River Ranch. Enjoy the antics of cowpokes and bronco busters as they show off their skills trick riding, bull riding, calf roping, barrel racing, and more. Kids are invited into the rodeo arena toward the end of the night to participate in a real “calf scramble.” Tickets are $32.05 for adults, $26.70 for children ages 5 – 12, and children ages 4 and under are free.

Plant City Pig Jam

There’s fun for the whole family with live music, kid’s zone, local vendors and sponsors, a bull riding contest, and amazing BBQ at the Randy Larson Softball Fourplex at 1401 Gordon Food Service Drive in Plant City, from 5 – 10 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday. Teams will compete in both professional and amateur divisions, prizes for the top ten teams will be awarded in each of the following categories: BBQ Ribs, BBQ Pork, Beef Brisket, and Chicken. Humane Society’s Santa Paws 2024

This is the Humane Society of Polk County’s 10th annual festive fundraiser. It will take place from 6 – 9:30 p.m. at Jensen’s Corner Bar, located at 100 3rd St. SW in Downtown Winter Haven. Come out and enjoy mouthwatering appetizers by Arabella’s, relax with live music by Brass Heart Band, and a Specialty Holiday Cocktail featuring Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Raffles, Silent Auction and Cash Bar, too!
