Congratulations to all who participated in this year’s Polk County Youth Fair!

Each year the fair highlights students’ project accomplishments and demonstrates their determination and strong work ethic. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped make the 2024 Polk County Youth Fair a successful and rewarding event.

Members attended Florida Farm Bureau Day in Tallahassee on January 16, meeting with members of our Polk legislative delegation and other state leaders and elected officials.  Our special thanks to Representatives Bell, Canady, Killebrew, and Tomkow for meeting with members on issues including crafting health plans for members, combatting overregulation by local governments of farmworker housing, relief from tangible personal property taxes, UF/IFAS funding, and Department of Agriculture priorities.  Members can get regular updates throughout the Legislative Session by registering to receive Florida Farm Bureau AgWatch bulletins via the Advocacy link at www.floridafarmbureau.org. We will announce the date of our 2024 Legislative Wrap-Up event soon.

Our farmer and rancher members in Polk and surrounding counties are invited to attend the Central Florida Ag Deputy Luncheon on April 11 at 11:30 a.m. Seating is limited, and registration is required to attend.  For further information or to RSVP, contact Sarah True at 863-533-0561, ext. 112 or saraht@pcfb.org
