March Is a Month for Recognition

March marks a special time around here for a couple of reasons.

First, who doesn’t love the Youth in Ag edition of Central Florida Ag News? Every time we get knee-deep in the production of this edition, we’re reminded of what amazing kids we have here in Polk and adjoining areas. We would never be able to list every single accomplishment, but rest assured that as good as our coverage is, it’s just the tip of the iceberg. We hope you enjoy this edition as much as we love putting it together.

Second, this is the month when we celebrate National Ag Day! On March 19, we join the rest of the country in celebrating the contributions of farmers and ranchers to our everyday lives. Agriculture plays a key role in everything we use, eat, and wear, and recognition of the people who make it possible doesn’t happen nearly as often as it should. Our friends at the Low Payment Kings are hosting an Ag Rally at Lake Wales Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram from 2-6 p.m. There will be product launches, speakers, and plenty of information on current, new, and emerging ag equipment and services. For more information, go to agrally.com.

Lastly, March is the birthday of Central Florida Media Group. Over the past 14 years, we’ve been privileged to make countless friends, especially within the ag community. We are eternally thankful to those friends, our readers and advertisers, our employees, correspondents and contributors, my family and most of all the good Lord above.
