With a fresh look, improved navigation, and even more agriculture advocacy news and information, staying connected is easier than ever. Be sure to visit the member benefits page at floridafarmbureau.org/member-benefits. Benefits and discounts are updated regularly with Florida Farm Bureau working to assist our members as they continue to provide our nation’s food supply.
One new member benefit is the revised No Trespassing sign for members. The signs have been refreshed to provide statute compliant and enforceable No Trespassing warnings to protect your private and commercial agriculture properties. This is an exclusive benefit for Farm Bureau members only, and members must log in to order online.
Another exclusive new benefit is a partnership between Florida Farm Bureau and Warner University where members can receive 15% off tuition for all online degree programs. Members can work towards an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree with 100% online, eight-week courses in a variety of disciplines.
Local students are encouraged to register for our Polk County Farm Bureau Youth Speech Contest to be held on Tuesday, August 25, beginning at 4 p.m. in the Brenneman room at the Polk County Extension Office. This year’s topic is “What are some of the proactive, collaborative steps that farmers, ranchers, local communities and organizations like Farm Bureau can take to help guard against invasive species threatening Florida agriculture?” The contest is open to students ages 14 – 18 and is sponsored by the Florida Farm Bureau Federation Women’s Leadership Program. The purpose of this contest is to promote a stronger interest and clearer understanding of the many aspects of agriculture; to provide opportunities for our youth to gain knowledge, appreciation, and understanding of agriculture; and help to promote agriculture’s many values and virtues. Students compete at the county level first, winners proceed to the district level, and district winners to the state competition.
