Hello and well wishes from Polk County Farm Bureau.
Congratulations to all who participated in this year’s Polk County Youth Fair! Each year the fair highlights students’ project accomplishments and demonstrates their determination and strong work ethic. Thank you to the many volunteers who helped make the 2025 Polk County Youth Fair a successful and rewarding event.
We wish to extend our congratulations to longtime members Marcia and Cary Lightsey on their induction into the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame. Congratulations Marcia and Cary! Thank you for all that you do for our agriculture community.
We also want to recognize Kaydence Murray of Auburndale High School, who was the winner of Polk Young Farmers and Ranchers’ Farm-City Week Essay contest. The topic of the essay contest was “How do Farmers, distributors, retailers, scientists, and consumers all play a vital role in making the American food supply possible?” Congratulations Kaydence!
