Hello and well wishes from Polk County Farm Bureau.
Farm Bureau members will be attending the March 18 Farm Bureau Day in Tallahassee to meet with legislators on issues vital to Florida farmers and ranchers. To stay current on this year’s legislative session, sign up to receive updates by visiting the Florida Farm Bureau Legislative Action Center at www.floridafarmbureau.org.
Members will also attend Florida Farm Bureau’s Field to the Hill event in Washington, D.C. in May as farmers and ranchers from across Florida travel to Washington, D.C. to meet with elected and appointed federal officials and advocate for Farm Bureau policy priorities.
Our farmer and rancher members in Polk and surrounding counties are invited to attend the Central Florida Ag Deputy Luncheon on Thursday, April 10 at 11:30 a.m. at the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Special Operations Center. Thanks to generous sponsors, there is no charge to attend this event, but seating is limited, and registration is required to attend. You may register today on your smart phone via the QR Code below or contact Sarah Waldman at SarahT@pcfb.com or 863-533-0561, Ext. 112.
Nominations are now open for Florida Farm Bureau This Farm CARES recognition awards. The County Alliance for Responsible Environmental Stewardship program (CARES) recognizes the farmers and ranchers who have taken voluntary action in preserving the land for the next generation. Exemplary practices of farmers and ranchers statewide conserve water quality, protect wildlife habitat and the state’s natural resources. Nominations will be accepted through May 31. To submit a nomination, visit www.thisfarmcares.org.
