An expo for the equine lover

HORSE ENTHUSIASTS love the equine accessories and accoutrement that go along with the sport and hobby of riding almost as much as they love the horses themselves. With that in mind, Eques Solutions, Inc., an equine marketing and promotional company, is hosting the 2015 Equine Innovations Expo near Palm Beach for three days, Feb. 20-22. The expo allows businesses to exhibit new products and services to horse enthusiasts, and there will be many riders, trainers, and horse owners on hand as the event coincides with the Adequan Global Dressage Festival and the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington. It’s the second year the event has accompanied the Festivals. “We have more vendors this year, and we had more time to get the word out to the public,” Eques Solutions President Bobbi Rottman shares. “So, we are expecting a better turnout.”

The expo starts off at 6 p.m. on Friday, February 20, during the Adequan Global Dressage Festival’s CDI Grand Prix Freestyle Dressage Competition. Then, it continues on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Wellington Club in the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, and continues through Sunday. The expo is open to all, and Eques is offering a public cocktail reception on Saturday, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. “The cocktail reception is casual dress; we offer drinks and some light food,” says Rottman. “It is open to the public and we encourage people to stay to watch the $372K Suncast Grand Prix, as the venue overlooks the International Ring. It is quite fun for the public, and it is nice for the vendors because people tend to hang out for a while.”

The expo itself features a host of products and services, with representatives from vendors like Absorbine, Omega Alpha-Equine, and Noble Outfitters. “We have a couple of vendors that will be returning from last year,” Rottman points out, such as Muck Off Sugar Scrubs — a sugar-based skin cleaner — and Rider’s Sleeves, featuring UVprotective cooling arm sleeves for riders. While most of the items are geared toward horses and riding, such as saddle accessories, horse supplies, nutritional supplements and the like, there are also vendors with products or services not related directly to horses, Rottman observes. “We have a couple vendors that are not horse related, but more people related” she explains. “I also like to encourage local businesses that have products or services that they can offer the rider to attend for better awareness.”

Get event details straight from the horse’s mouth by visiting Eques Solution’s Facebook page or emailing info@equessolutions.com. For all the neat equine products and services you’ll find at the expo, Rottman advises, “You will have to come and see!”
