Highlands County 4-H members will host a Kids Business Fair on Dec. 2 from noon-2 p.m. at the Bert J. Harris Jr. Agricultural Center at 4509 George Blvd. Sebring, FL 33875.
This event will help 4-H youth develop entrepreneurial skills, learn to count money and make change, advertise, interact with customers, sell a product, and manage logistics.
4-H members will have various items for sale, like homemade lemonade, painted rocks, handmade potholders, and more.
4-H members will have their booths open for business at noon and are excited to have shoppers.
All money collected by the members will be theirs to keep. Some members plan to use the money they raise to buy Christmas gifts for their family members, and others will put their proceeds into savings or back into their businesses.
All members are learning how to handle and count money, so please bring cash for shopping to allow members to interact with funds. We can’t wait to see you at the 4-H Business Fair!
