LAST MONTH, we touched on getting new customers with the help of local tradeshows. We’re now going to focus on the different types of customers you have and how to keep them happy.
One of the first things to do is assess the situation by reviewing your customers and the amount of business they have done with you. Find those who do the most business with you and determine which products or services they might need in the future. This can best be accomplished with a one-on-one conversation. Also, rewards and incentives are a great way to reward loyal customers.
Unfortunately, there are always some customers that got away. Review your customer list to see which ones faded away without notice. Try to determine what happened and devise a plan to win them back.
Another key to success is always trying to bring in new customers. First, identify the customer groups you’d like to add to your clientele. Then create a plan for reaching those groups, including an incentive plan for buying from you.
When it comes to the success of your business, there is no doubt that the customer is key. So, if you make sure that your customers are well taken care of, chances are they will take care of you.
