Happy New Year from Polk County Farm Bureau. Farm Bureau members are beginning the year strong as we travel to Tallahassee this month to meet with legislators. The Polk County Youth Fair will take place at the Polk Agriculture Center in Bartow on January 20 – 27. A schedule of daily events can be found at We encourage you to visit the fair and support youth participants who have worked hard on their projects this year.

Polk County Agri-Fest will take place February 26 – March 1 and March 4 – 8. We are seeking volunteers to help with another successful year as we host thousands of Polk fourth-grade students with interactive sessions on local agriculture commodity production. The Central Florida Youth in Agriculture livestock show is scheduled for March 20 – 23 at the Polk Agriculture Center. More information on this event can be found on their Facebook page at

Do you have your TEAM card? The application process for the Tax-Exempt Agricultural Materials card is now open. The card was created during the 2023 legislative session and can be used to purchase agricultural materials that are exempt from sales tax.
