First Generation Blueberry Grower Named State Award Winner

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Tyler Shadrick of Shadrick Farms in Madison County has been named the 2025 Florida Farm Bureau Achievement in Agriculture award winner. The winner was announced at Florida Farm Bureau’s 84th State Annual Meeting on October 27 at the Daytona Hilton Oceanfront Beach Resort.

Tyler Shadrick is a first-generation blueberry grower. He ensures sustainability and profitability by implementing self-managed tools like advanced frost protection systems, organic certification protocols and food safety plans. Outside of the farm, Shadrick helps shape agricultural policy at the local, state and national levels, having participated in legislative efforts and leadership roles with Farm Bureau. His leadership extends to mentoring youth in 4-H and FFA programs and serving on conservation boards. Shadrick plans to expand into agritourism to further educate the public on food production and the importance of agricultural stewardship.

“I’m so honored and thankful for the investment that Farm Bureau has made in my life and business to make this possible,” said Shadrick.

As the state winner, Shadrick received a $45,000 cash prize courtesy of Florida Farm Bureau Insurance Companies, $500 cash award and an expense paid trip to the 2026 American Farm Bureau Annual Convention in Anaheim, Calif., where he will represent Florida in the national Young Farmers and Ranchers competition
