Pasco County Man Named Crop Advisor of the Year

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Richard Fiorelli has been awarded the 2025 Florida Farm Bureau Crop Advisor of the Year Award. The award recognizes a professional who has provided farmers with superior service in nutrient management, soil and water conservation, pest control and crop production.  

Fiorelli has been offering expert crop guidance for more than 25 years. He is an advocate for sustainable farming practices and has built fertilizer programs for growers that minimize the environmental impact by enhancing soil fertility and crop yields. He helps educate growers on the importance of understanding the pH levels of water for optimized plant health. Fiorelli is currently a production manager for Driscoll’s, the global market leader for fresh berries.  

Fiorelli received the award during the Florida Farm Bureau’s 84th Annual Meeting in Daytona Beach on Oct. 28. 

Florida Farm Bureau, in partnership with the Florida Certified Crop Advisors Board of Directors, sponsors the Excellence in Crop Advising Award to recognize an individual who has performed outstanding service for farmer clients. A farmer and a Certified Crop Advisor form a team that puts best management practices to work on the farm, managing their business while practicing responsible stewardship with natural resources.
