“When you have an elephant by the hind leg, and he is trying to run away, it’s best to let him run.” ~ Abraham Lincoln
You may remember Aaron Ralston, 27, the mountain climber who went canyoneering in 2003 in Utah’s Blue John Canyon, when an 800 pound boulder shifted onto him and pinned his right arm in a crack on the Canyon wall. [emember_protected custom_msg=”Click here and register now to read the rest of the article!”]He literally faced a life and death situation. No one knew where he was, and he had nothing to eat. On day four he ran out of water, getting weaker as each day passed. On day six he did the only thing he could. Using his pocketknife he amputated his pinned arm and freed himself from the boulder! He lived to tell about it and still hikes today! He got rid of what was holding him back.
What’s holding you down? In the words of Lincoln, cut the rope that tethers you to the elephant dragging you in the wrong direction. Do so and you might find yourself free to be more and do more, for your company and your family, than you have in a long time.
